![]() It reminded me that the USA is still the only country in the world to have used nuclear weapons on our enemies. Whoever leads our great nation should be someone who takes sending 'troops' into harm's way very seriously because 'troops' is military-speak for your sons, your grandsons, your husbands and sometimes your daughters, sisters, mothers and wives. I do think it is a worthwhile place to visit. ![]() I found it sickening to think about what those weapons do to the human body. Every where you look, the weapons developed by people and designed to tear other people apart. Then, finally, is the room in which weaponry is displayed. Then there is a room with military vehicles. Do bring a visor or ballcap and wear sunscreen. We'll probably check out the war planes at that time when the weather is cooler. My husband and I are returning in February. We visited in August AND there was a heat wave. The other three people in our group chose not to do so. My friend, who is a pilot, enjoyed the display. Then an even smaller (almost non-existent) display about the Navajo Code Talkers. ![]() There is a smaller display about the Tuskegee Airmen. In this section, some attention is paid to women warriers. ![]() Then there is the main room, which goes in chronological order from WWI to WWII to Korea to Vietnam to the Gulf Wars. The first is the Gift Shop with a few displays. OK, there are several sections of the Warbird Museum. ![]() The Dick Woodland Car Collection is at the same site as the Estrella Warbird Air Museum, and you pay one entrance fee to see both, BUT the Car Collection is listed as a separate attraction here on Trip Advisor, and I reviewed it separately. I'm glad my friend knew about this place and suggested it, as my husband and I are 'museum people.' Meaning, we do enjoy going through museums when we travel. ![]()
